KEY INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

While this year brings unprecedented challenges due to COVID-19, our Breeders’ Cup team remains committed to providing our participants an exceptional experience while also ensuring our guests are safe and comfortable. Following the close of pre-entry (Monday, October 26) all participants with horse(s) entered in a Championship race will receive a welcome email. A welcome packet will also be emailed and will be your step-by-step guide on how to secure hotel reservations, seating/parking request for event days, credentials, transportation, and more.

You do not need to do anything at this time; however, there are several changes this year, due to COVID-19, please review the details below carefully:

HOTEL REQUESTS

Breeders’ Cup has reserved hotel rooms at the following properties: 21c Museum Hotel, Lexington Marriott City Center, Hilton Lexington Downtown, Hyatt Regency, and the Lexington Griffin Gate Resort & Spa. All participants will be eligible to secure hotel room(s) at these properties. Syndicates/Partnerships may secure up to five (5) hotel room(s). Each ownership entity (a syndicate or partnership is one owner) will receive a $1,500 credit for staying at one of our VIP hotels.

SEAT/PARKING REQUESTS

All participants will be required to have a reserved seat ticket for event day access. All dining and reserved box seating has been reconfigured with social distancing parameters in place.

Tickets are non-transferable and participants, with the exception of jockeys, are required to attend and be seated with their guests. Any participant found to be reselling event day tickets will forfeit their event day tickets and parking passes.

Participants may also request seating for the day they do not have runners or compete. More detail will be included on your seat request form in your welcome packet.

Owners (a partnership/syndicate counts as one owner) receive a total of six (6) complimentary seats along with the option to purchase up to another additional* six (6) seats for the day the horse competes. Ticket prices for purchase range from $212-$557 per person on Friday to $312-$670 per person on Saturday. More detail will be included in your welcome packet.

Each Trainer receives four (4) complimentary seats on the day they compete. More detail will be included in your welcome packet on location.

Each Breeder/Nominator receives four (4) complimentary seats on the day their horse(s) compete. More detail will be included in your welcome packet on location.

*Additional seats for purchase are not guaranteed and subject to availability.

PARKING- All participants will receive a complimentary on-site parking pass each day they compete. You will be able to request additional parking passes (subject to availability) on your seat request form included in your welcome packet. Limo and Bus parking passes will be available as well.

PARTICIPANT CREDENTIALS

Each owner (a partnership/syndicate counts as one owner) will receive six (6) owner credentials. These credentials DO NOT allow access through an admission gate; you will have a reserved ticket(s) for your access through the admission gate. All six (6) credentials allow access for winning owners into the Winner’s Circle for photo, Post-race Interview and Champion’s Terrace for your champagne toast and race replay.

PADDOCK PASSES

Paddock passes are race specific and access is limited this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. Owners will receive two (2) paddock passes per horse per race. Trainers will receive four (4) paddock passes; one for trainer, one for assistant trainer, one for groom, and one for the hot walker. Breeders will receive two (2) paddock passes.

BRANDED HATS/JACKETS

Each owner (partnership counts as one owner) receives a complimentary dozen (12) Breeders’ Cup participant baseball caps. Additional caps and jackets may be ordered by completing order forms that will be included in your welcome packet.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Breakfast at the Breeders’ Cup hosted by Winstar Farm and Keeneland

Participants are invited to our Breakfast at the Breeders’ Cup presented by WinStar Farm and Keeneland beginning Monday, November 2. This venue is located on the first floor level of the Clubhouse through the Clubhouse entrance at Keeneland and will be open Monday-Thursday, November 4 from 6:00 am to 10:00 am leading up to the World Championships. Attendees will be required to show their participant credential (limits apply) for access to this event. Owners will be eligible for six (6) credentials, Trainers and Breeders will be eligible for two (2) credentials which will act as your access badge each day of the breakfast. Rood & Riddle Virtual Post-Position Draw

On Monday, November 2 at 5:00pm, virtual coverage of the post-position draw will begin from the Keeneland Sales Pavilion for the live drawing of 14 Championships presented by Rood & Riddle. Participants may watch on TVG or online at www.breederscup.com.

Breeders’ Cup Welcome Dinner

An exclusive dinner curated for the connections of all Championship runners will be held on Thursday, November 5 at 6:00pm. Dinners will take place at various downtown Lexington restaurants. Invitation and RSVP are required. More detail including RSVP will be included in your welcome email.

Pre-Entry closes promptly at 12:00 p.m. ET. All forms must be completed online or via phone. All fees must be paid in full at that time. Due to COVID-19, restrictions no in person appointments are advised. If you do request an in person appointment you will be directed to call the Breeders’ Cup racing office to schedule.

Tuesday, October 27

Welcome email sent to all participants that have pre-entered horse(s). A welcome packet will also be sent via email that will include your event day ticket and parking requests, credentials and branded hats.

Monday, November 2

Entries close promptly at 10:00 a.m. ET. All forms must be completed online or via phone. All fees must be paid in full at that time. Due to COVID-19, restrictions no in person appointments are advised. If you do request an in person appointment you will be directed to call the Breeders’ Cup racing office to schedule.
